pizza dough from the clemson boys!

Mike wants everyone to know that this is "a hearty pie with a thick crust!"

Pizza Dough (1 pie, feeds 3-4 people)

1 1/2 c. warm water
mix in
1 T. yeast
2 1/2 T. honey
1/2 t. salt

Add 2 cups of white flower, and mix in
Add 1 1/2 cups of wheat flower, and mix in.
Keep adding flower or water to get right consistency. Dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
Kneed dough well.

Coat dough in olive oil and place in a warm spot to rise for at least 1 hour.

Cook dough at 410 degrees for ~5 min before adding toppings.
Add toppings. I usually use some sort of cheap spaghetti sauce for sauce.
(ham and pineapple is my favorite combo)

Cook pizza for ~20 min until cheese is golden brown.

  2. success! 4 out of 5 stars. i only have two suggestions for edits:

1 - the pizza tastes MUCH better if you substitute flour for flower

2 - i ended up using considerably more flour (~1 cup) than the recipe called for to reduce stickiness and get the right consistency.
